Brussels Sprout
Positive effects on eyes bones and teeth. Reduced risk of tumors.
Brussels Sprout Description.
The Brussels sprout (Brassica oleracea var. gemmifera) is a leafy vegetable that belongs to the Brassicaceae family. From the base to the top of the well-developed stalk, Brussels sprouts feature rounded buds, with tender leaves closely overlapping to form a small, firm sphere. These buds, commonly referred to as “Brussels sprouts,” resemble miniature cabbages and are harvested when they reach the size
of a walnut or slightly larger. They are the part of the plant intended for consumption.
In cooking, Brussels sprouts are considered a true delicacy. Valued for their mild flavor and compact texture, they stand out for their lively sweetness, making them a great complement to both main and side dish recipes.
Rich in antioxidants, they are beneficial for bones, the brain, the eyes, the colon, and the prostate.
The most commonly used containers at Vivai Bacchetto are those with 104, 170, and 228 holes.
Due to the extreme sensitivity of Brussels sprout seedlings to certain phytopathological aspects, the company ensures the protection of these crops through careful phytosanitary prevention and monitoring.
