How Vivai Bacchetto Works
Organization
It all begins with well-organized planning. First, Vivai Bacchetto receives the order with the requested plants and their delivery dates, or arranges a meeting with the client to share a more personalized brief. This helps in organizing the seasonal schedule. The order is entered into the company’s IT system, and the entire
production cycle is planned, starting with the purchase of raw materials. The production manager creates a weekly list of batches, divided according to species, production cycles, and delivery dates.
Individual sowing reports are then created for each batch, to be handed to the sowing managers. They are also assigned the seed lot, peat, and container to be used. Each batch is assigned a unique identification number, which is printed on each sown container. This makes the batch traceable and identifies the species,
variety, type of container, and delivery period.
Production
The use of fully automated equipment ensures meticulous sowing. The batch is then placed in a germination chamber with controlled temperature and humidity. Once germination is completed, each batch is moved to the most suitable cultivation greenhouse where the agronomic program can begin. During this phase, checks are essential to ensure consistently excellent quality: that’s why the company has implemented an advanced system for automatic control of temperature, humidity, light, and atmospheric conditions.
To prepare the seedling for transplanting, which will occur either manually or automatically with innovative transplanters, fertigation cycles and specific treatments are also carried out.
Delivery
Once the overall state of production is verified, Vivai Bacchetto agrees with the client on the best time for delivery and arranges shipping. If the client’s daily transplanting capacity requires it, the shipment can also be divided into smaller deliveries.
