Chinese Cabbage Description.
The Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa subsp. Pekinensis) is a leafy vegetable that belongs to the Brassicaceae family. The plant forms a compact head with thick, crunchy ribs of a very light color. Inside, the fleshy leaves become almost white.
Chinese cabbage is appreciated in the kitchen both raw and cooked, marinated, pickled, in salads, or as an ingredient in appetizers, soups, main courses, and side dishes. Its flavor is mild, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Low in calories due to its high water content, Chinese cabbage is rich in minerals (especially calcium and potassium) and vitamins (A, C, folic acid).
Vivai Bacchetto prepares Chinese cabbage seedlings primarily in containers with 104, 170, and 228 holes. Due to their sensitivity, the company ensures perfect plant health through continuous monitoring and preventive phytosanitary care.
