Sugarloaf Chicory
Positive effects on eyes bones and teeth. Reduced risk of tumors.
Sugarloaf Chicory Description.
Sugarloaf chicory (Cichorium intybus var. foliosum) is a leafy vegetable from the Asteraceae family. Its enveloping leaves form a compact head, are crisp, light green in color, and have a characteristic slightly bitter aroma, which provides benefits for the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. In addition to being rich in fiber, vitamins (provitamin A, B1, B2, C), and minerals (potassium, phosphorus, calcium), this
vegetable stands out for its inulin content, which offers digestive health benefits.
Vivai Bacchetto produces and delivers sugarloaf chicory seedlings in a wide range of formats. The pre-extraction process ensures excellent root development and batch uniformity. Cultivation times are kept short to prevent premature bolting.
