Bean
Positive effects on eyes bones and teeth. Reduced risk of tumors.
Description of bean.
The bean (fagiolino) is a fruiting vegetable that belongs to the Fabaceae family. This annual herbaceous plant has an erect stem, with either a dwarf or climbing habit. The bean plant has heart-shaped leaves with entire margins and white flowers grouped in clusters. As a fruit, it produces legumes ranging from 6 to 20 cm in length, with varying shape, color, and consistency depending on the variety. Each pod contains many small seeds and is consumed whole, without waiting for the seeds to mature.
Lower in calories compared to regular beans, beans (fagiolini) contain more water and fiber, along with a rich variety of vitamins and minerals. They are beneficial for the eyes, skin, bones, and nails; they help detoxify the body, lower cholesterol levels, and prevent diabetes. Once cooked, they are enjoyed as a side dish or in salads but are also the perfect ingredient for healthy and delicious recipes.
Vivai Bacchetto grows bean plants (fagiolino) in soil cells during the early spring months to ensure faster and more successful germination. The containers used are 40 and 60-hole trays.
