Description Eggplant.
The eggplant (Solanum melongena) is a fruit-bearing herbaceous plant that belongs to the Solanaceae family. The plant, which is erect and can reach up to one meter in height, produces large white or purple flowers and fruits of various shapes (round, oval, elongated) and colors (black, purple, reddish, white, or streaked). The fruit of the eggplant is highly appreciated in cooking for its sophisticated and rich flavor that
develops after cooking. It is a perfect ingredient for low-calorie but tasty dishes, being rich in water and minerals, making it detoxifying, diuretic, and remineralizing.
Strongly antioxidant, it helps combat inflammation and aging processes.
To achieve optimal plant growth, Vivai Bacchetto employs several techniques: after sowing in 228-hole containers, the plants are transplanted into containers with 40, 60, or 104 holes; fertilizations are aimed at root development and maintaining lush and vibrant vegetation; the greenhouses are kept at an ideal temperature and ventilation (in the early morning, the Cool Morning technique is applied); the plants
are pre-extracted about a week before delivery.
