Swiss Chard
Positive effects on eyes bones and teeth. Reduced risk of tumors.
Description of Swiss Chard.
Swiss chard (Beta vulgaris) is a leafy vegetable that belongs to the Chenopodiaceae family.
From its herbaceous stem, large, glossy, and fleshy green leaves grow, distinguished by prominent, light-colored central veins. Both the leaves and the tender portion of the stalk are consumed, offering a very sweet taste.
Rich in micronutrients such as calcium, iron, potassium, and phosphorus, as well as insoluble fibers, Swiss chard is a diuretic and detoxifying vegetable. It is beneficial for the intestine and helps regulate blood sugar levels.
It is enjoyed cooked, either alone or as an ingredient in many complex recipes.
The seed is a cluster, meaning that several plants grow per cell. To ensure a uniform and high-quality standard, thinning is performed.
Vivai Bacchetto produces Swiss chard seedlings in 170-cell containers, and occasionally in 228-cell containers.
